Zan Mitrev Clinic COVID-19 testing point

Zan Mitrev Clinic COVID-19 testing point

It is located in the vicinity of the hospital and is specially built to receive patients to be tested or examined for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. During its construction, all of the highest safety measures have been implemented, such as continuous filtration with fresh air intake, and regular spotless cleaning and disinfection to maintain highest degree of hygiene.

SARS-CoV-2 TESTS

The so-called biosafety level 2 (BSL2), and a number of different types of SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 tests, all accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO), are available in our Laboratory for Genetics and Personalized Medicine.

RT-PCR test, determines the presence or absence of genetic material from the virus itself in the test sample, a highly sensitive method, thanks to which very low concentrations of the virus can be detected, or it can be detected at the beginning or at the end of the infection, respectively.

Rapid antigen tests, on the other hand, are recommended for those who already have symptoms characteristic of COVID-19 because they are less sensitive than PCR tests.

No prior appointment needed for testing.

Other available tests:

Rapid antigen test (results in 20-30 minutes) – 1500 MKD

Regular PCR test (same day results) – 2900 MKD

Pooling PCR test (sample pooling) – 1500 MKD

Rapid PCR test (results in 50-60 minutes) – 12 000 MKD

LABORATORY TEST PACKAGES FOR MONITORING THE SITUATION IN COVID-19 PATIENTS

SARS-CoV-2 virus infection is characterized by a wide range of different symptoms in different patients and a varying degree of severity. Many studies have found that patients who have a severe and serious clinical picture have an increased level of some laboratory parameters, the monitoring of which can provide insight into the progression of the disease and the further direction of treatment. Therefore, we have created a COVID-19 laboratory test packages intended for patients tested positive which, in addition to all the basic biochemical parameters – includes analysis of following markers: d-dimers, ferritin, interleukin 6 (IL-6), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) ) and C-reactive protein (CRP).

The package price is 7200 denars, including a free consultation with a doctor.

Blood samples for these tests are taken at the COVID-19 testing point at the Zan Mitrev Clinic, without a prior appointment.

Chest X-Ray

Given that the SARS-CoV-2 virus in many patients causes a serious and severe form of pneumonia with recognizable features, monitoring of that pneumonia is extremely important. X-rays provide insight into the severity of pneumonia and therefore provide additional treatment guidelines. Performing a chest X-ray of a patients tested positive for COVID-19 in our clinic requires an appointment in advance, in order to organize the whole process properly and to avoid any unnecessary waiting.

Chest X-ray price is 2000 MKD

EXAMINATION OF PATIENTS TESTED POSITIVE  FOR COVID-19 – COVID OUT-PATIENT CLINIC

Due to the variable number of patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a great number of positive patients require medical examinations. For this reason, at our COVID-19 point in Zan Mitrev Clinic there is a doctor available to patients tested positive for COVID-19 who performs examination, condition assessment, consultations, gives advice and treatment guidelines.

TREATMENT OF PATIENTS TESTED POSITIVE  FOR COVID-19

A special department has been established at the clinic intended for intensive treatment of patients tested positive for COVID-19 with a severe clinical picture and highly expressed symptoms. During hospitalization in our modern and technologically advanced centre, vital parameters, laboratory parameters and the general condition of the patients are monitored vigorously and continuously. Such treatment of patients anticipates and duly prevents the possible progression of the disease. The appropriate response and individual approach to treatment in each patient is based on the current credible evidence and treatment guidelines in the scientific literature. The adjustment of the treatment methods used depend on the severity of the patient’s condition and can vary from oxygenation and drug therapy to blood hemofiltration in the more severe stages of the disease.

ANTIBODY TESTING

Our clinic has introduced antibody tests with the highest specificity and sensitivity of all SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests generally available. They check the levels of IgM and/or IgG SARS CoV-2 antibodies.
