Electromyography – EMG
EMG is an examination of the function of the muscles, the peripheral nerves and the nerve roots and plexus.
Indications:
– polyneuropathies (compressive, traumatic, inflammatory, metabolic);
– radiculopathies;
– myopathies, muscular dystrophies;
– polymyositis;
– diseases of the neuromuscular junction (myasthenia gravis)
Neurography – it is a method for measurement of the speed of conductivity through the peripheral nerves, by means of which a diagnosis is set whether the nerves are damaged and to what extent
