Psychology and psychotherapy
Psychodiagnostics involves psychological testing intended to diagnose and clarify issues related to personality, behavior, mood, emotional functioning, and cognitive processes of the individual.
It is used in situations which require clarification of the diagnosis, when there is a history of traumatic experiences, when there is abuse of substances, when there are intrapersonal relationship issues, etc. In addition, it can also be used to support the psychotherapy process.
With the help of psychological tests, the patient obtains detailed information about themselves, and the psychologists prepares an objective psychological finding.
Psychological tests:
Psychoeducation involves psychological preparations of patients before surgery. Specifically, it involves counseling patients before their surgery. This counseling includes a brief education about the surgery, a conversation about the stress and the fear that the patient naturally feels and a reflection on the emotions including overwhelming, fear, and jeopardy.
It has been demonstrated that patients that have been psychologically prepared, counseled, and informed about the surgery deal with the surgery more easily and recover more quickly. The entire family also participates in the recovery of the patient and therefore it is important that they themselves be psychologically prepared and informed about what is expecting the patient.
Psychotherapy can be practiced by a psychologist who is a psychotherapy specialist in order to treat primarily the neuroses (such as anxiety, depression, phobias, hypochondria, panic attacks, posttraumatic stress disorders, and psychosomatic disorders).
With regular psychotherapeutic sessions we aim to resolve the psychological problems of the patient and improve their health.
