History

The Zhan Mitrev Clinical Hospital, originally called Special Hospital for Surgical Diseases “Philip II”, laid the foundations of modern medical services in 1999, after having adapted and renovated one leased part of the Military Hospital in Skopje.

The hospital officially opened on 1^st March 2000, and the medical start was marked by the first bypass surgery in the Republic of Macedonia, led by academician Dr. Zhan Mitrev. On that 1st March 2000 we started making history in the Macedonian healthcare, the new era of Macedonian cardiovascular surgery.
