The work of the laboratory is based on three key segments: laboratory diagnostics, antimicrobial stewardship, and control of hospital-acquired infections, which together ensure safe, high-quality, and coordinated healthcare.

Diseases and Conditions

The laboratory diagnoses infections related to:

  • Respiratory system
    infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract.
  • Urogenital tract
    bacterial and fungal infections.
  • Gastrointestinal tract
    infections caused by bacteria and parasites.
  • Skin and soft tissues
    wound infections and skin lesions.
  • Systemic infections
    bacteremia and sepsis.
  • Hospital-acquired infections
    nosocomial infections and resistant strains.

Diagnostics and Analyses

The laboratory performs microbiological analysis of different types of samples:
