The Mother and Baby Center provides comprehensive care and dedicated support for pregnant women throughout the entire pregnancy, ensuring maximum safety during delivery and continuous care in the postpartum period.
Our approach is based on trust, expertise, and attentive communication with every expectant mother. Whether the delivery is vaginal or via cesarean section, the entire process is carefully planned and supported at every stage.
The center is designed to provide comfort, safety, and reassurance for both mother and baby at all times.
Specialized neonatal care is also available, including rooming-in accommodation, allowing the mother and newborn to stay together from the first day, with continuous parental presence and education.
For newborns requiring a higher level of care, neonatal intensive care and specialized medical transport are available.
Delivery packages
Painless spontaneous delivery package
The painless spontaneous delivery package includes services in all stages of the pregnancy and after the pregnancy. This package includes:
- Free obstetrics examinations after the 36th week of pregnancy comprising:
*ultrasound (echo) examination of the fetus in order to determine the condition of the fetus
*a color doppler to test the blood flow in the umbilical cord and the brain blood vessels and
*cardiotocography (CG) to determine the status of the placenta and the amniotic fluid quantity - Educational materials about safe pregnancy
- Antenatal education of the parents about the process of delivery, the postnatal period, and caring for the newborn
- A complete laboratory preparation before delivery (with results not older than five days)
- Vaginal swab for GBS screening
- Anesthesiology examination
- Painless delivery with anesthesia (epidural and spinal) after a previous examination by an anesthesiologist.
- Safe pregnancy educational material
- Antenatal education of the parents about the process of delivery, the postnatal period, and caring for the newborn
- A complete laboratory preparation before delivery (with results not older than five days)
- Vaginal swab for GBS screening
- Anesthesiology examination

Important: In case of unexpected complications during the delivery or if extended hospital stay and further treatment, which will require additional costs, are needed, then these additional costs are not part of this package.
Only in the Mother and Baby Center in the Zan Mitrev Clinic do we conduct painless, natural childbirth with nitrous oxide sedation, popularly known as laughing gas. Nitrous oxide gas sedation is done using the Master Flux Plus Device for Sedation which the clinic procured specifically for this purpose.
Nitrous oxide sedation is a less invasive technique, less risky and with fewer side effects compared to epidural anesthesia. It is a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen in equal proportion, and it reduces pain, anxiety, and nervousness, making mothers more relaxed and the delivery easier. Because of its effect to induce laughing, nitrous oxide is also called laughing gas and it is suitable for obstetrics due to its quick effect, rapid clearance from the body after having been used.
The gas is used for analgesia and anxiolysis, as well as for smaller obstetrics intervention, but also other painful procedures such as dentistry, cardio interventions, for children and people with special needs. It can also be used as additional therapy for chronic pain in oncological patients.
It provides a lot of benefits for the patients, it reduces stress, reduces pain perception, and facilitates quick recovery. In addition, it can be safely applied to all patients and reduces the intervention duration. Some women prefer to use nitrous oxide during contractions and others prefer to use it to relax between contractions.
The gas is induced through a small mask which helps the patients breathe the gas and after the mask is removed the effects of the nitrous oxide quickly dissipate.
Cesarean section package
The cesarean section package includes services in all stages of the pregnancy and after the pregnancy. This package includes:
